About Us
Arista Healthcare Academy was born of the need for more qualified healthcare workers. Our aging population is in great need of in-home care, so our focus is on the Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA).
Our classes are taught by very qualified nurses who are in the Homecare industry and understand the real skills that are needed to achieve excellence in your new field.
CHHA’s are the heart of homecare and provide direct patient care in support of those who need it the most. To become a CHHA you must first complete a course that has been approved by the State of New Jersey and the New Jersey Board of Nursing. Once the course is completed, you then take and must pass a state exam.

Duties of a Home Health Aide
Performs personal care and activities of daily living in accordance with an established plan of care as assigned by the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor and is able to demonstrate competency in the following skills, which includes but is not limited to:
- Bath: bed, sponge, tub or shower
- Communication skills
- Observation, reporting and documentation of client status, and the care or service furnished

The Home Health Aide can work in both private homes under the auspices of a Healthcare Services Agency (home healthcare), Assisted Living Facilities , Adult Daycare Facilities, Group Homes and Hospice Agencies.
